About the Cause
Rotaract Club of Limassol Amathusia will be joining forces with 'Hope for Children'– UNCRC Policy and Ivi Adamou, to raise both funds and awareness for the ‘Beat Bullying’ campaign of Hope for Children – UNCRC.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness both within the education community and the public at large and to create a code identification, prevention and treatment of the phenomenon of bullying and cyber-bullying.
The campaign is radically innovative in that that the psycho-education of children within the school will be made by peers. The children who will be selected and trained by practitioners to act as ambassadors against school bullying in schools will be selected based on their awareness, skill and popularity amongst their peers. The idea is based on the premise that children are some times more receptive of messages when they come from their peers or other young people.
